In 2021, S5 became part of Kiloo Ventures. The Kiloo Group is a diverse collection of companies operating across various industries. Together, we are a dynamic group of dedicated colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities. Our S5 office is located in the northern part of Aarhus
S5 History
2012
S5 was founded with a clear goal: to make it cheaper and easier for small and medium-sized shops to accept Visa and Mastercard payments.
2013 - 2015
S5 partnered with several acquiring banks and began rolling out our own payment terminals from Ingenico.
2017 - 2018
S5's payment infrastructure became 100% independent, routing transactions directly to multiple acquiring banks in Europe. All major credit cards and local payment solutions were supported.
2019
S5 introduced, for the first time in Denmark, the concept of PAY AS YOU GO—a consumption-based complete payment solution for small and medium-sized businesses.
2021 - 2022
S5 became part of the Kiloo Group and relocated to Aarhus C. We also introduced the Android-based PAX series, with APIs for integrators.
2022-2023
We tailored S5’s payment infrastructure to the Greenlandic market, with a new warehouse in Nuuk, a 4G network, and Akiliut card support.
